A Royal Mail presentation pack will contain a mint stamp issue of GB stamps; such as Commemorative stamps, Definitive stamps or Post and Go stamps. The packs are usually made up of a colourful, informative folder and a carrier to hold the stamps in place. These collectible items are produced in much smaller quantities than the stamp issues they contain.
Some of the GB presentation packs we stock contain pre-decimal stamps that are no longer valid for postage. All issues dating from 1971 onwards contain decimal stamps that are valid for postage at the numerical value indicated. When a pack contains 1st class and/or 2nd class stamps they are valid at the current rate of postage as advertised by Royal Mail.
GB miniature sheets of stamps are standard postage stamps presented together on a small sheet, hence why they are also known as mini sheets. They are often particularly attractive in their own right and make a very nice collectible. Some Commemorative presentation packs include a Mini Sheet in addition to the relevant stamp issue -

Although we don't provide valuations of stamp collections, we often need to buy pre-owned presentation packs, PHQ cards and other collectibles in order to replenish our stock. If you have a collection in good, clean, condition that you wish to sell, please contact us to confirm our requirements and prices.
PHQ stands for Postal Headquarters. PHQ cards, also known as stamp cards, are postcards that depict an enlargement of the relevant GB stamp issue, thereby showing more detail. The forerunners to PHQ stamp cards were
Maximum Cards (Maxicards / Maxi cards). These are now quite scarce.
FDI stands for First Day of Issue. PHQ cards are available unused (PHQ Cards Mint), or as First Day of Issue with a cancelled stamp on the front
(PHQ Cards FDI Front) or on the back
(PHQ Cards FDI Back). A handstamp is often a decorative cancellation mark that is relevant to the stamp issue featured on the front of the cards.
We offer the facility to pre-order new Commemorative packs, PHQ cards and FDI cards by way of a Standing Order account. The benefit of ordering this way is that you will automatically receive each new issue as it is released by Royal Mail, keeping your collection up-to-date.
